So, our drop-off went great, despite the snow! We still ended up waiting to taxi away from the gate for hour due to a broken fuel truck and then plowing and de-icing of the taxiways, but eventually we got airborne.
Our arrival into Charles-de-Gaulle was cloudy but uneventful, and all of our host families were ready and waiting for us, so there was lots of excitement, especially for those students who hadn't hosted their correspondent in October!
Families were off to do lots of different things this week-end: a sibling soccer game, a gymnastics event, Montmartre, and there was talk of a visit to the Opera Garnier and a wedding (!) at some point during our stay.
Personally, I did lots of walking around the 20th arrondissement and the Belleville neighborhood, tracked down all of our transit passes, and attended a birthday gathering in the Marais.
Please feel free to post your own events, stories, pictures, etc.!
A bientot!
Heard most of the students gathered at a local mall, Aéroville, Saturday. Anyone have photos?
