Chateau de Chantilly

1st visit to the chateau de Chantilly, which has the 2nd-most impressive collection of pre-1750 art after the Louvre, and ran into Maria, Lily and an English teacher from the lycee :-)

Mayor's reception

This afternoon we had the honor of being welcomed to Saint-Witz by the mayor, Germain BUCHET, who signed a dedicated copy of a book on the local area destined as a gift to our own Mayor Dolan. We had a chance to hear a bit of the history of Saint-Witz, which has always been very small in size while still holding historical importance over the centuries.
Special kudos to Rachel and Maria pour avoir faire la bise au maire!

So yeah, the McD's sign really makes the photo!

Ice skating on the Eiffel Tower!

A few pics from Wednesday. We also passed through the Jardin du Luxembourg and past the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame and l'Hotel de Ville

Foucault's pendulum (gotta re-read Umberto Eco's book by that name sometime!)
